Josh Causley is an actor, singer-songwriter, and composer born and raised in Southern California. He developed a passion for acting as a teenager and received a Bachelor’s in Theatre from CSUF. Afterwards, he was involved in various short films with the Actors Coalition Network, working not only as an actor, but also as a director, writer, editor and composer. He became a resident artist at The Larking House this season and is excited to be involved with this production.
Jonathan Herrera is thrilled to be part of Sentences by Matthew Hayashi. Previous credits include Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing and Octavius in Julius Caesar. He is a proud graduate of Vista Square Elementary School where he learned essential skills like play pretend. Jonathan is a huge fan of horror films—Halloween is his all-time favorite. He would like to thank The Larking House for allowing him to continue developing his craft and passion for storytelling.
Coleman Blue Summers is an actor working in Orange County. He has been a Larking House resident since the program’s inception and has been involved in much of the company’s programming. Coleman has portrayed Brutus in Julius Caesar, Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, all with The Larking House, as well as Satan in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Santa Ana College. Most recently he has his directorial debut with the world premiere of Olivia Carter’s The Party Clown.
Will Thomas is a resident artist at The Larking House Theatre Company. With a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from UCSD, he is currently pursuing a Master’s in Dramatic Writing at the University of Denver. Recent credits include Julius Caesar at The Larking House, King Lear Part 1: The Unraveling with Openfist Theatre Company, As We Know Them at The Larking House, and the short film "Kathrine Hits the Town!" with East Cove.
Alex is a musician from Southern California. He graduated from CSU Fullerton where he earned his Bachelors in Science and Engineering. He is excited to return to The Larking House since composing and sound designing for both A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Tartuffe. Outside of theater, Alex makes electronic funk under the artist name, iMonkeys. You can find Alex on most days getting bullied by his cats, Pippin and Spooky.
Sidney is an award winning actor based in Orange and LA county. They have been performing for almost 15 years now, and received their B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from CSU, Fullerton in 2020. Since then they have started to grow their skills in other areas such as writing and prop design. They also run Larking House's Improv Team, Party Fowl. Some of Sidney's past shows include A Doll's House Part 2 (Emmy), Sustained Release (Hailey), The Revolutionists (Charlotte Corday), Pirates vs. Leprechauns (Shanty), and Seascape with Sharks and Dancer (Tracy).

Emily Neva Boliver (they/she) is an Orange County-based actor and stage manager and they hate long walks whether it's on the beach or anywhere else! You can find them working as Company Stage Manager at The Larking House and Audience Services at The Curtis Theatre. Emily's favorite roles include Clown #2 in The Party Clown, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Eunice in A Streetcar Named Desire. She wants to thank Matthew and Tony for the opportunity to work on this play and her friends and family for their unwavering support!
L Castro is more than just a letter! They are also a genderqueer, actor, poet, and now technical assistant! This will be their first foray into costumes, makeup, and stage management. They can’t wait to wear all these hats. You may recognize them from their work with The Larking House as Sadiya in As We Know Them and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Kate Galleran is a Southern California native and multi-hyphenate theatre artist with credits designing wigs, hair and makeup as well as costumes and scenic painting. Some favorite shows they have worked on include Hedwig and the Angry Inch at Chance Theater (Wig Designer), Hair at Cypress College (Charge Scenic Artist), As We Know Them at The Larking House (Costume Designer, Charge Scenic Artist) and Julius Caesar at The Larking House (Charge Scenic Artist). They have a passion for all things theatre and making audiences feel immersed in new worlds.
Matthew M. Hayashi is a director, playwright, and producer whose work spans classical adaptation and original storytelling. He is a founding member of The Larking House, where his play Sustained Release received its world premiere. Most recently, he adapted and directed The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, bringing fresh perspective to a timeless classic. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton (BA in Theatre, 2021), Matthew currently works in production at South Coast Repertory, where he continues to champion bold, collaborative theatre.

Gennie (she/they) holds a BFA in Acting from CSUF and holds her own hand when she gets scared. Favorite credits include Olivia (Twelfth Night), Blanche (A Streetcar Named Desire), Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Bart (Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play). Come see her in These Shining Lives at the Curtis Theatre June 13-22. Hi, Coleman. genevievekauper.com IG: @genni.e
Emmanuel Madera is thrilled to be returning to the Larking House and the Chance Theater. Emmanuel is a recent Cal State University, Long Beach graduate where he received a BFA in Acting. Recent credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Demetrius), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Adolfo Pirelli), Tartuffe (Tartuffe u/s), Rocky Horror Picture Show (Brad), and Spring Awakening (Georg). Emmanuel is eternally grateful to his professors/mentors, family and chosen family for their unwavering love and support.

Jarid McCarthy is a playwright, producer, and sound designer. As a resident artist of The Larking House, Jarid has recently designed audio for Julius Caesar, as well as managed the recent installment of the Playwright’s Intensive. Jarid's own plays Lack and Abyss have been produced by The Larking House, The Wayward Artist, and The Long Beach Playhouse.
Caleb is a carpenter who developed a passion for technical theatre in high school. He has worked on The Larking House's productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. He became a resident of The Larking House this season and is looking forward to working on their production of Sentences.
Tony Sanchez recently emerged from a 7-year directing hiatus, during which he co-founded this theatre company, built some weird sets, and swore he’d “never direct again” at least twice. Sentences marks his grand re-entry into the world of yelling “Hold!” and pretending he knows what beats are. Tony serves as the Technical Director for The Larking House, which sounds impressive until you realize it just means he owns a drill and knows how to yell “Try it now!” after plugging things in. He would like to thank his cast and crew for their patience, talent, and for somehow transforming his vague gestures and incoherent ramblings into a show.
Adriana is a returning resident artist of The Larking House from Torreon, Mexico. She graduated from CSU Fullerton, where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre. Previous credits include: The Party Clown (Clown #1/Her Understudy), The Tragedy of Julius Caesar (Cassius), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hair/Makeup Design), Tartuffe (Mariane/Makeup Design), Cock (W), and several others. Adriana is a three-time OCTG Award Nominee (Best Ensemble of a Play - 2021, Outstanding Wig/Hair Design, & Notable Outstanding Achievement in Makeup Design - 2025). You can typically find her driving on the 405, sipping an iced coffee. La lucha sigue. xo

Paige Taylor is an actor, director, and educator working throughout Orange County. Since graduating from Cal State Fullerton in 2020 with a BA in Theatre Arts with a directing emphasis, she has been training young performers at Free To Be Me Performance Academy and teaching after-school theatre programs through Los Alamitos Educational Foundation. Her recent projects include productions at Canyon High School, Empty Room Radio (a spectral playhouse), and The Larking House Theatre Company. She’s excited to turn on some lights.
