The Larking House serves as a pathway for early-career theatre artists in Southern California as they take their first steps into the professional field. Through a flexible, cohort-based residency, we provide a supportive home where they feel believed in, can take creative risks, fail safely, and grow into sustainable artistic careers. 
 

We accomplish this by offering a home for local theatre artists through our

Artistic Residency, expanding development opportunities for playwrights both local and global with our flagship Playwright's Intensives program, and producing original never-before-seen plays as part of our season.
